The Associate Board's 11th Annual Benefit

8:00 p.m.–Midnight

The Associate Board’s 11th Annual Benefit is sure to be at the top of the “must-do” fall event list as young professionals dedicated to offering their time and support for NorthShore will meet to raise funds for the Department of Pediatrics and Personalized Medicine research. The research study, being conducted by Pablo Gejman, MD, titled “Prediction of Peripartum Mood Disorders (PPMD),” is focused on postpartum depression in new mothers. The groundbreaking knowledge emerging from this very innovative study will lead to early identification and more tailored treatment of these women, thereby preventing or at least minimizing the very well-known negative impact of PPMD on their children. Funds raised from the event will also support the Associate Board’s Emergency Family Fund, which provides resources for underserved families of the Infant Special Care Unit (ISCU) and the Department of Pediatrics. “We are elated to commence our support for improving the mental health of both mothers and babies of the ISCU,” said Associate Board President Emily Laipple. “Supporting the Department of Pediatrics is incredibly rewarding and something I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of for the past four years.” This year’s event will be held at The Auditorium Library at Roosevelt University, where about 250 guests are expected to attend. The evening will feature a raffle, silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, libations, dessert bar and entertainment. Tickets are $100. For more information or to support the ISCU, click here.
