Creating a Legacy in Her Husband’s Memory

Lorraine Scott
During the early years of Lorraine and Jim Scott’s long life together, he already needed expert and ongoing orthopaedic care. Lorraine, who worked for many years as a nurses’ assistant, searched for and found excellent care for her husband with NorthShore orthopaedic surgeon James C. Kudrna, MD, PhD. Quickly, Dr. Kudrna improved Jim’s mobility and physical comfort.
All three became and remained fast friends—and in later years, they saw one another often when Lorraine and Jim volunteered in various capacities at NorthShore Glenbrook Hospital. Lorraine’s legacy gift commitment, along with her generous annual giving—in memory of her husband and in honor of Dr. Kudrna—recognize NorthShore Orthopaedic Institute’s high standard of comprehensive, compassionate care for patients of all ages.
